Numerology/Astrology for 3/20/18

3/20/18 is the number 7. This is the number of planning and right now we are going into the impulsive sign of Aries that loves to leap before it looks. So, take that enthusiasm and before you leap into that unknown void perhaps putting together some sort of loose plan might be a good idea. Now, you need to know full well that that plan is going to take longer and need to be modified again and again. That is not a personal failing as much as it is a fact of how this reality goes. Nothing every ends up exactly the way we plan it. That is what makes life a mystery and what makes choices so magical.

Spring equinox arrives at 9:16 AM PDT today. A chart cast for the next three months shows an emphasis on the fire and earth elements. That means you can bring your creativity and passion into a more clear manifestation in the physical world. There is also a lack of the air element. This means it can be easier to get stuck in one mindset when air is missing. That is your reminder to be willing to listen to and open to ideas from others to avoid getting stuck in a rut. The pace this spring is going to be quick, so put extra effort into completing projects. The tendency can be to chase after shiny things or over-react to situations. Be willing to communicate your changing needs and desires to all of your relationships. The Moon spends the day in Taurus, harmonizing with Saturn and encouraging a practical approach to today. The Sun enters pioneering Aries today at 12:16 PM EDT, marking the time of the Spring equinox and the start of the astrological New Year. The Sun will transit Aries until April 19th. In Aries, the Sun is enthusiastic and spontaneous. You are motivated by the desire to conquer and overcome all situations and challenges that stand in your way. You will be more impulsive and have the urge to initiate new things. Beginning a project seems the right thing to do under this sign that wishes to spring into action. Aries is a sign that bounces back quickly. Its function is to ignite and to spark those new ideas. You might notice that there is little pause or regret with Aries. It is brave and pioneering, and somewhat innocent in its viewpoint. Because of that you can be a bit naive and not really see the whole picture of what that project might entail in the long run. But don’t let that stop you from taking the initiative. If we really knew how much effort something would take we probably would never do anything. Be direct and uncomplicated in what you want. Just remember that you can also be short-sighted and lack the desire to plan.

Each choice and decision in your life
is a stitch in the tapestry
of your own heaven or hell.
You create this reality
based on the level
of honesty or denial
that you inflict upon this world.

I know all of us find it exhausting to listen to the world suffering and the constant noise of upsets in the news. I know that all of us are turning the television off more and more, as it never seems to improve, and it never seems to end. It seems that there is a toxic venom that keeps spewing forth. But there is a tipping point and that point has been reached. There is a shift for a multitude of reasons and now we have to support this shift though we do not know what this world will look like when it is done. What is clear is the old world is very, very dead. The only choice is to create a new world based not on the evil, negativity, greed, and prejudices of the past, but a world based on the modern reality in which we find ourselves. We can no longer turn a blind eye to Russian meddling, to cyber-attacks, to the social media being used as a weapon by those who want to manipulate us, etc. We have created systems that are very advanced, but the human psyche has not yet evolved to a place that it can use them in a mature fashion. Therefore, laws have to be implemented that support the emotional and mental evolution that is essential for this world as we move forward with technology. And we need governments and people making laws that are not idiots that want to live in the 1800’s but that are educated in the realms of technology and understand the implications of certain actions and choices. We can no longer tolerate people in positions of power that are antiquated in their beliefs and constantly use religion as the fallback position. We need our representatives to be grown up in their views of these potential threats and not just use religion as an excuse to not protect and defend the people. I believe that religion teaches values, morals and ethics. But it does not teach us at the present moment how to make laws that protect us against such technological attacks. It is time for us to find a level of educated intelligence and to cultivate that. We need that to lead us forward at this time. Keep those values to heart but recognize what is needed at this time and place. Make decisions and choices that support forward progression. Besides it is not even possible to go backwards anyway.
