4/29/16 is the number 6. The number 6 is where your untouched depths whisper to you. Tickling your fancy to take a risk and do something unique. Those urges are from your most powerful and integrated self. It takes time to learn to listen and trust when those feelings come through but that is why we practice today in the number 6 position of silence. When you learn to wait on the will of the Divine and move only when there is an alignment of energy that allows for a feeling of congruency then things in your life are calmer, more in a flow, and take less energy than when your ego is pushing. The Moon continues its transit of Capricorn until 4:47 AM EDT, when it enters Aquarius. Under the influence of an Aquarius Moon, you will feel an emotional need for freedom and independence. Things that are intellectually stimulating help you make that change towards a more unconventional self. Venus enters Taurus today, where it will transit until May 24th. In Taurus, Venus is usually quite content, but can be possessive. You feel that deep need for security and you want to value that which lasts. Seeking out things that create pleasure is a strong driving force today. Taurus values the here and the now as well as the world of the five senses. Tangible and physical expressions of love and romance are most important now. Holding on to someone you love, and/or the things you love, is a very strong tendency under Venus in Taurus. A Last Quarter Moon is towards the end of the day, when the Sun in Taurus forms a square with the Moon in Aquarius. The Last Quarter Moon phase points to some sort of crisis of consciousness. After basking in the awareness symbolized by the full light of the Moon at the time of last week’s Full Moon, you disperse your knowledge and come to a point when you need to sort out what works for who you are becoming because you are being prepared for next week’s New Moon, when something new is born once again. Because there is a decreasing of the light of the Moon, this symbolizes a descent into your unconscious and deeper self. It’s time to begin finishing up those things that are lingering on your “To Do” list.

Each time my heart has been broken I realized that I could not control the world. I recognized that I cannot control others and each person has a map and a karmic blueprint that they are obligated to address and deal with in this lifetime. Sometimes that allows us to cross paths and connect deeply but when the karmic piece is accomplished then that person or circumstance wanders away again on their own unique path for awakening. Attachment to people, situations, financial pictures, and superstitious tendencies that we use to explain our “Good” or “Bad” life are not real and all have to fall away for the authentic self to blossom. No one can shine when they are under the protection of another’s safety. We need to feel safe but then we need to be brave enough to leap past the illusions that we have used to feel safe and then build confidence. At some point you learn to love yourself enough and then you recognize that you must walk your own path alone.
