Numerology/Astrology for 7/18/20

7/18/20 is the number 2.
If you add the 7 + 1 + 8 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 0 = 20.
2 + 0 = 2.

My father had a saying, “Don’t let the Bas*ards get you down!” What he meant by that was that society will always resist anything new, anything different, anything that is a change out of their normal routine. He knew that greatness comes not from following the herd mentality nor constantly and chronically going into judgment and resistance. None of those patterns produce greatness. Greatness comes from knowing what is the right thing to do that will serve others and leave a legacy for your children and those that come after you. Greatness comes not from what you think you know but from recognizing that you really don’t know anything at all. Knowing is a manifestation of ego and the minds need to understand things that are beyond our comprehension. That is what myths and stories are about. They are about those that came before us attempting to make some sort of sense out of things that where big but not explainable from our limited human capacity. Today is a day when the suffering of this world might seem to never end. This stuckness and quarantine might feel as if it is getting to you because of those out there that will not comply with rules that could help this to end or at least slow down. Clearly we are going to get much worse before we get better and that is also demoralizing and not good for our country or our psyche. And yet, this is the test that we have been given. And we will live through it. And at some point it will change or people will finally change. In the meantime, don’t project a potential that is clearly an illusion upon this moment. Deal with each and every moment, pure and simple. Do not fall into the traps that are clearly right in front of each of us. Stay calm. Stay kind. And stay on your personal path.

Astrology Today

The Moon starts out in the mental and curious sign of Gemini and then enters Cancer in the morning after you get to work. You will desire more connection and comfort with things and those that are familiar. Use the intuitive side of Cancer to listen on a subtle level to things that while you did not think you wanted to learn, you are being asked to do so anyway.
Your patience is going to be tested further and further in the coming weeks. You have to learn to pace yourself. The social and financial obstacles continue to rise and the hurtles ahead are monumental. You are feeling guarded and your feelings are being suppressed because of worry over your own safety, the safety of our country and financial concerns.
Venus and Saturn sesquiquadrate in the morning and you will feel how you are attempting to hold your emotions in check.
But Pallas is opposite Vesta and conflicts are driving irresponsible behavior to an insane level where logic is so distorted and twisted that reasoning ability is being controlled by emotional insistence rather than any rational sequence of objective thought.

Quote

Perhaps this world was never sane.
Childish souls seeking personal gain.
A world where egos fight in epic ways.
Slaying truth in favor of praise.

I watch while people decide to destroy this world.
They decide that what they believe is more important than lives, rules, and laws that are trying to help.
While it is okay to question the often bad choices of our government, humanity should have a bit of conscience that runs with enough logic that it can see that everyone needs to do something to help.
If everyone just keeps doing the “normal” thing then we are going to be living with this virus forever.
Disease requires changes to promote the safety of our civilizations and people. Or civilizations collapse.
But if the cognitive level within our world has diminished to such a low place then clearly we are going to be culled by the forces of nature until those that remain have an ability to reason from a place of care and compassion rather than react and respond from a place of arrogance and ignorance.
