Numerology/Astrology for 8/24/20
8/24/20 is the number 9.
If you add the 8 + 2 + + 4 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 0 = 18.
1 + 8 = 9.
The Number 9 gives you permission to feel deeply into those hidden areas that need your love and attention. It is a tricky thing to allow yourself to feel fully in such moments. It is a skill to learn to not wallow in them, nor hang onto past traumas and use them as a shield. It is essential to tell yourself the truth about what has happened but it is also equally essential to allow that expression to expand your being by integrating the past …. into your present. You are not what you were in the past but your past did show you what you needed and wanted to learn and overcome. Your past helps you become the amazingly sensitive and compassionate person you are now. When you learn to let your intuition guide you through life, it does not mean that things are easy. It just means that you are willing to learn the lessons more quickly and you are not resisting the pathway to your most authentic self.

Astrology Today
Get ready, because today Mars is going to square Saturn.
The warrior (Mars) will be challenging the triple alignment planets in Capricorn (Saturn, Pluto and Jupiter) the rest of the month. And you will continue to feel it for the rest of this year since Mars is going retrograde September 9-November 13.
Mars in Aries is about energy, gumption and drive. It wants to get us moving forward. The energies ending in Capricorn are trying to tell us to wear your face masks to protect others and do your best to follow the rules. But I know that many will not.
“Refusal looks like freedom to those still trapped by their ego.”
Today is not the day to push your agenda.
Asserting yourself might be difficult with these energies. Slow down, make the necessary adjustments. The movement forward is going to be difficult because of the resistance you are going to encounter. All things are going to take more effort than you expect.
You could experience some disapproval hit you and you might notice that your confidence takes a hit.
The Moon continues in the emotionally intense and expressive sign of Scorpio. It will be hard to hide what you are feeling. It is going to show all over your face.
There will be a Mercury-Uranus trine will open your mind to possibilities that you previously could have never conceived of.

Blog
I look out and the smoke is so bad from the hundreds of California fires that I cannot see the next ridge over towards the ocean. I have my house closed up and the air filters running.
I am grateful that right now, we are not in a fire zone and I cross my fingers and toes that it remains that way. I feel so sorry for so many that have lost their homes to fire, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, and the massive upsets that are a part of this climate change crisis.
The one good piece of news is that some of the great redwoods have survived. They have weathered fires before and they have the strength and height to weather them again. That at least is the best news.
I send out the thought that everyone this Fall season, please plant some trees. Look to what is native in your area and support the local environment and the animals and plants that depend upon those trees for safety, shade, and sustenance.
Plant one tree for everyone in your family. Make it a family tradition. In Bhutan, when a child is born the family plants 108 trees to honor that child and balance out the ecosystem. I love that tradition. Perhaps we can make it a tradition here in America.
I also support the organizations that are replanting for the Amazon fires and the fires in Africa. Each year I spend $100 on each group to plant trees. It is a small way to give back to the planet. I do the Nature Conservancy, “Plant a Billion Trees” project. And the National Forest Foundation, “Tree Planting Campaign”.
Do something that makes sense for you and your family. Teach your children to support restoration projects and make it a family affair and tradition.
I know it will make you feel better.
I know it gives me hope in this time of crisis.
