9/19/17 is the number 11. It is time to really look to see if and how you are prepared for your future. As Americans, we have been blessed with a type of security blanket that has given us one of the best societies this world has ever seen. But everyone can tell that that “golden heyday” is coming to an end and now it is up to each of us individually to take responsibility for what we need and what we want for the coming future. That requires an objective reasoning skill and a blatantly honest clarity. Between global warming, weather patterns shifting, temperature changes, global conflicts, etc. none of us can take anything for granted from this moment on. But you have the tools and skills necessary to create your own protective bubble for those you love and yourself. But it is about clear planning and then concise action. During this time with all the energy and planets in Virgo, you have the perfect impetus to propel you into better preparation and structure for your future.
This is the time to celebrate the harvest and give thanks for the blessings in your life. You are in the season where it is time to get organized for the shifts in the energetic and astrological tides which are going to be huge. The full moon opposes Chiron, (the wounded, healer, teacher) a famous centaur who taught healing techniques in spite of being wounded himself by the Gods in their attempt to stop him from helping humans and supporting their evolution into being Gods also. It is time to look to where you can take steps to heal yourself or others. Because Chiron was an immortal god who was mortally wounded, the only way out of his suffering was to feel all of his feelings honestly and truthfully. Denial was the sword that continued to cause him suffering and that is why he is the archetype to teach that the way through is about total and complete acceptance as to who he was, what he had done (in choices, actions, and decisions) and how they impacted others. He became a great healer and teacher for humanity and was then rewarded by being placed in the constellations for eternity. Is there some attitude, belief or thing you are ready to release? If you are feeling caught between worlds, like a centaur that is half horse and half human, decide to be OK with being caught between worlds. Take half steps towards your goal rather than trying to get it all at once. Also of note is the goddess Venus who is entering Virgo for the next three weeks. Do something for your personal spiritual purification in the weeks ahead. Simplify your relationships. The Moon spends the day in Virgo, but as fact-focused and organized Virgo aims to be, there can be difficulties on these fronts today. Mercury’s opposition to Neptune can blur your perceptions. We may be seeing others in an unrealistic light and discrepancies can emerge today to challenge your thinking. With the rising high tide of Neptune in Pisces, the illusionary quality of this planet is making all choices and decisions confusing and complicated. Concentrating on technical facts can be difficult. If you feel your mind is wandering, it may be that you have neglected to “feed” your creative spirit. Be mindful to not misrepresent yourself because what you want and what you are may not be in perfect harmony. Be aware that overlooking important practical details and thinking too far into the future can be self-defeating. There can be misunderstandings, misinformation, confusion, carelessness, and deception. You may be feeling un-motivated. However, this can be a good time to stretch out of the old narrow way of thinking so that you can dream up new ways and new possibilities. Right now, it is better to wind down than to push and attempt to gear up. Venus enters Virgo, where it will transit until October 14th. The world now has the Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars in Virgo! Today, the Moon is in Virgo as well, and early tomorrow, the New Moon occurs. Love needs to make sense and have a purpose with Venus in Virgo. Virgo is an Earth sign, which is sensual but also quite practical. Rendering services to others can fill a need and can be an expression of love during this cycle. You might notice that you want to organize your world into a more calm and systematic way. You also might want to prepare and do food storage to feel safer should the world tilt further into chaos. If the past hurricanes have taught us anything is that being better prepared is our responsibility.

What does it take to awaken? What prevents you right now from seeing beyond the known into the unknown potential that you can tap into? So often we settle. We settle for the comfort that supports us in staying in a type of comfortable lethargy. There is a big difference between actively engaging the beautiful diversity and complexity of each day and choosing to stay in bed and not getting up when you know that life awaits. And you can choose to engage life with a calm sense of wonder and magic if you allow it to teach you rather than think that you are going to teach the world. You cannot teach anyone anything that they are not really ready to understand. You cannot teach anyone unless you are willing to listen to the promptings of life and nature and how that energy weaves into your world. You have something to teach when you can teach flow with life itself and then how to allow the enhancing, energy enlivening potential to give you more insight into what you are to do next and how to do that with effortless grace and compassionate acceptance.
