Poem – November’s Gifts

Poem – November’s Gifts

Welcome November, a gateway to merriment’s embrace,

Where winds whisper secrets of snow’s impending grace.

In homes, the flicker of lights outshines the noonday glow,

Families converge, drawn by the spirit of giving’s gentle flow.

Leaves cascade, yet in their descent, they nourish the land,

Tasks shift, a new labor guided by a festive hand.

Preparations stir, crafting feasts to delight the eyes and hearts.

Spreading cheer, crafting smiles, inviting everyone to embark.

We are going on an adventure to a familiar land.

It is not about beaches filled with waves and sand.

We look for the familiar and those people with which to share.

We look for the comfort of our family home and our favorite chair.

Life is a fragile thread. It is a reminder not to delay,

For the sun of tomorrow … might not be enough for others to stay.

Pick up the phone, rekindle friendships that were in the past.

Remember the fun and share the wisdom amassed.

In this month of abundance, let gratitude unfurl,

As we gather in unity, let old bonds twirl.

Welcome November, with its call to reminisce and renew,

Let us cherish each moment and remember to attend to.

Because life is fleeting just like the seasons of change.

Love is the only equation that can rearrange.

What once was into what might be.

And that is how we awaken and can finally see.
