Poem – When We Risk

When we risk, we can discover something new.
First it is the mind that wants to find a clue.
That clue is to some mystery to solve.
A longing for us to find a way to evolve.

When we risk, we seek another path.
We want something now, rather than an aftermath.
I have learned to trust in the flow.
And we need to remember to find how to let go.

In the chaos that is major change.
The minds have to shift as the world must rearrange.
Listen not to the mind that plays it safe.
Listen to the call just beyond the gate.

It will take you out of the old.
And show you a place where you are brave and bold.
As we learn to trust more than just our mind.
We also learn that through growth we become more kind.
