Suzanne Wagner Poem – Let Women Out Of The Cage

When you destroy a woman, you destroy life itself.
But the power of women will never stay on a shelf
Some men hide the faces of women, old and in their youth.
They cannot bear to look into the eyes that hold truth.

That is because it is man that breaks their hearts.
It is man that turns away and refuses to start.

Those eyes plead for them to take another path.
Not one filled with such hate and wrath.

The feminine wants to give love and bring life.
Their soul is not built for so much pain and strife.
When men put the creative power of women in a cage.
Only hardship and suffering will become their stage.

When men finally understand that women are the light.
And decide to listen and do what is right.
That is when they will tear down that gilded cage.
And women will be allowed to create a golden age.
