The winds are blustery and the outdoor cat Coco, came out from under the porch to let me know she is here but that she is under the porch. She was not interested in food. She seemed too scared.
I woke up the morning of the 4th to the winds whipping through the trees and horizontal rain.
My friends in San Francisco just have light rain at the moment but it is going to hit them shortly.
It sounds roaring and swirling. The winds have that curling sensation. I think of Master Leonardo da Vinci drawing the whirls and curls on the heads of young boys, the perfectly curved waves of clouds in the distance, and the perfectly balanced images of his paintings with a seashell arch as the center point in the images.
Somehow showing that the balance is in the movement of such upheavals and convolutions.
Today, here in my reality, we will stay warm by the fire, safe inside, and look out on the storm grateful for the safety of a home and the engineering skills of the master builders of our time.
May you all stay warm and feel safe as well.
May you all appreciate what you currently have in your life.
May peaceful thoughts be stronger than the winds of change.
May all those still out in the storms of life be safe from the chaos that reminds us of who is really in charge.
