Blog – Christmas Day

My soul loves to wander in the ethers of time.

I am an explorer but one that seeks the divine.

The divine in a flower that bursts through the snow.

The divine of the starlight in a midnight glow.

The divine of a baby fox looking for its mom.

The divine of a monk chanting a psalm.

Within each of us is something so pure.

That when we find it … we become very sure.

That the spark of light that gives us form.

Is a spark that ignites all things to be born.

Today we celebrate a day about a birth.

And we gather together to share love and mirth.

Celebrate today but remember to hold it tight.

Because there will be days that seem that the dark of night.

Becomes so strong and we feel so alone.

That we forget those times we gathered in a warm home.

And laughed at the moments of silly glee.

And enjoyed life so much that we did not fully see.

That in life there are ebbs and flows.

But we do not really know where it all goes.

In a blink of an eye, we may be old and alone.

Then all of life could feel heavy like a stone.

That is the moment … we need to remember today.

And feel into all the souls that have loved us this day.
