Tears for Ukraine

Cry for my people. Cry for my land.

Nothing will be left … if others will not stand.
None of us can ever do it alone.

We are one human family, blood and bone.

But in this moment the hate of one man.

Has decided to destroy a country to take a stand.

But he stands in the rubble of the work of other men.

And what he has done is greater than any sin.

I wish him an afterlife the fits the horror of these times.
I ask that karma be as brutal as his crimes.

In my heart is a scream of pain.

But it is lost to the sounds of missiles and airplanes.

I have to watch … though it is such a terrible thing.
We must witness this terrible downswing.

We cannot ever let the truth here be forgotten.
Even when evils conquest is so misbegotten.
What happens now, is a shadow of what is to come.

It was astrologically written that we will not succumb.

But will we listen and then prepare?

This moment cannot be answered by a prayer.

We will have to stand up and fight.

For our freedoms … with all our might.

Without that will to respond to the call.

All we have worked for will begin to fall.
