The drums begin to beat from far away.

The clans are coming, and we seek to display.

Beautiful tables, filled with goodies galore.

Require us to get prepared and go to the store.

While the season is now knocking at our door.

There are many that need us to remember and not ignore.

Take some things that are needed by another.

Look to see if someone old or a grandmother

Might need some extra help or a gentle hand.

Invite them over if they seem in “no man’s land.”

We are in a time to celebrate what we have and to share.

Be generous and be more aware.

Times are tough for many right now.

Open our hearts, be inviting and allow.

Those that are alone and have no one that cares.

Make another place setting and bring over more chairs.
One or two more will not matter at a feast.

Give warmth and kindness as we call in the east.

The east reminds us that the sun rises on a new day.

It brings understanding without dismay.

Each day bursts forth with a new light and hope.

It is such moments, that will allow us to better cope.
