This will be an interesting day.

Some will feel great relief and others dismay.

Try to find a door that will open a possibility.

And regardless, walk with honor, respect, and civility.

What I know is that all must have a voice.

Women should have freedom and choice.

Those from places that are far away.

Should be allowed to have doors that do not betray.

The sacred trust that they put on the line.

They asked for our help to find how to align.

With this very new world that is strange and hard.

They wanted a life where they did not need to be on guard.

That is not asking a lot.
They wanted to learn and to be taught.

That is why we need to create a society that understands.

And is willing to lend a helping hand.

To those that are trying to become a better soul.

Every society and government should make that their goal.
But today, it is clear that we still have a long way.

And for our country I will continue to pray.

Because I know that love and compassion is the only real door.

One that will usher in terrible things if we ignore.

All the signs that have been warning what might be.

If we refuse to open our hearts and let our eyes, see.
