Quote

“Wickedness” plants its seeds in the innocent.

It roots in suffering.

It feeds on tears.

It thrives on mayhem.

It flowers in despair.

It fruits on corruption.

It gets plucked in greed.

And it rots on vindictiveness.

Tolerance does not exist in the fields of anger.

Education teaches patience and tolerance.

Tolerance allows another to move through their dysfunction and pain.

Tolerance recognizes that some things need to be worked out within a soul and that they cannot be taught as much as experienced.
A tolerant person understands that each person’s path is unique and cannot always be understood from the position of others.
Tolerance observes respectfully the beliefs of others and celebrates their process even if they do not share their perspective completely.
Tolerance does not blame but it will wait for a moment when clarity breaks through the attachments.
Tolerance allows for the feelings of mutual respect to grow.
Tolerance shows an open mind and heart.

Those with the greatest tolerance see this world with the widest vision.

There are many days when I do my best to sit in places of patience and presence. When I observe from a place of tolerance, I understand that on a deep level, I do not lack any commitment to my own beliefs.

I have learned to support the rights of those that I disagree with and those that do not share my values or position.
Tolerance is a lubricant to those things in life that are radically different, foreign, and new.
But when tolerance is used as an avoidance to confront great evil … it becomes a tool for those who have cruel intentions.

Laws cannot educate a populace who are intolerant. But they do give a pathway for tolerance to become more socially acceptable to a culture and a time.
