Quote

We look into faces and should see only ourselves.

We handle our life by moving books on library shelves.

All those faces are us. There is no difference at all.

The color of someone’s skin is no reason to brawl.

We need our morality to step up and speak out.

Those that refuse the rights of women and minorities can go ahead a pout.

That is because they are immature souls that should never have power.
Yet they sit and spread hate from their golden tower.
But towers do fall, and destruction will reign.

That is what happens when hate leads the campaign.
Do not live to be happy. Instead bring more joy into this time.

Know that such a goal will bring us to more peace and less crime.

I got my Pfizer booster shot and it wiped me out yesterday. While my arm feels okay, my energy fell into my feet. I also had my knee suddenly seem stiff like arthritis but that is going away today.
I am grateful that I have not (yet) had the full-fledged disease of Covid.
I am still careful, and I still wear my mask when I am out shopping, out of respect for others and to keep those that need more protection safer.

We live in a world that has changed in so many ways.

We have needed to redo our deck on one side that …  we now know was not done properly 30 years ago. It is a big process to pull this amazing 1000-year-old redwood off, sand it, save it, fix the holes, sand it again, and then seal it before we put it back on the deck. And the underside of the deck is brand new also. Much sturdier and has flashing so that there is no wood-to-wood contact. Seems that is the way to do things in the dampness of the redwood temperate forest.

While doing it this way is more time consuming, it does not waste resources and we get to keep the gorgeous color of the old redwood.

I managed to get my rhubarb planted in a big pot yesterday. We will not be able to harvest it this year but next year we will have more.

It is the same with the two artichokes I planted in separate pots. We should have some next year.

Gardening is a journey to think ahead for a future that is yet unknown.

Gardening is a love and care for the soil, the critters, and the correct combinations that work well together.
Gardening cares for the needs of each plant and tries to give these essential lifeforms what they need without tons of pesticides.

If we look at our own life as a personal garden, notice if you are caring for the needs of those individual parts and places that long to thrive.
Do you give yourself enough water, air, light, and supplements so that you can be your best?

If not, perhaps it is time to care for your own inner garden.
