Quote
Coco was hunting a wood rat hiding in the thorn bush.
The moment I opened the door, and she was distracted, the rat ran down and grabbed seeds.
Then was back in the thorn bush before she realized.
Rats are smart, they take advantage of distraction, noise, and confusion.
In the Chinese Astrology I am a metal rat.
The stories say that God called all the animals to his side. The rat jumped on a horse and once the horse stopped running, leaped off the horse and scurried to the lap of God. Because the rat showed up first, God gave the rat all the gifts: intelligence, swiftness, cunning, strength, and endurance.
I saw that in full motion this morning as that rat outwitted the cat and still got his morning seeds.

Whew! What a wild ride the last few days.
I keep having so many experiences that I am sure everyone else is also having because I never think I am the only one experiencing them.
I have tried for 4 plus months to get an appointment with a cardiologist on Blue Shield. And no one seems to call me back. If they do they never leave a message. It is insane. How did we get a system this broken.
Then I have a migraine and I can’t get any doctor’s appointment in my home town area until November.
So, I have to drive 2 hours to just get a normal yearly check-up. That appointment has taken me a month.
I hope that once I have another doctor give me a referral … perhaps … I can manipulate my way into the system if another doctor calls.
Then I had this migraine, and I could not get any doctor’s appointment to handle it or get any medication to either stop having a headache or stop throwing up.
I got so weak each morning from not being able to eat anything that I could barely walk.
Finally, I got on the Blue Shield site and they have Teladoc’s that you can speak to 24 hours a day. So, I did that and I finally got some help after 4 days. But even with that, the doctor only gave me 2 pills for my headache!
In the old days, (like a decade ago) the doctors would give you a packet which was 8 pills. Because with a bad headache two is never enough. He did give me 8 pills for the nausea.
Today, after one headache pill, I am better … but I am still not over it. And I am afraid to take the second one because I might need it if suddenly, I get worse.
It is a catch 22. I have another appointment with that doctor two hours away next Monday. I will get a backup prescription just to be on the safe side.
But on the whole, I am better and that is great!
