May their trek to the jungles be safe and swift.

May they pass along their invisible paths.

They are light as a feather.
And do not mind the weather.
Their hearts beat with the speed of their wings.
They carry hope and inspire queens and kings.

They disappear without a trace.

But linger in our heart to give us eternal grace.

Awe … the cool fog rolled in last night and the grass and deck were wet with from the touch of the goddess.

I should have known it was coming because we suddenly got an influx of hummingbirds yesterday. And that was a surprise because yesterday it was a warm day, and it did not seem like the seasons had started their shift.
Other than the fact that it is getting noticeably darker each morning.

But nature is much smarter than us and clearly the hummingbirds heard the call of Mother Nature and began their trek back home to Mexico.
They are emptying feeders in a day. And we must have 50 hummingbirds currently.

I find they hang out for a few days, stock up their energy reserves and then move on. Then the next wave of hummingbirds moves through.

I love that I am the stopover for such beautiful creatures.
I guess I must have known something internally because I got more hummingbird nectar ready yesterday.
And now I will have to make more today, as they are going through it so quickly.

Remember to notice the small and significant shifts that herald the shifting of time.

Let others in and share … what we have gathered and can find.
May our hearts be carried with them to the luxurious homes in the rainforest.
And may we tell their tales through the folklorists.
