Quote
The swans on the lake were peaceful and content.
Their graceful necks, arched and bent.
I walked along the forest path.
It wound through ancient stones along a footpath.
I was sure one stone was where a leprechaun might sit.
Watching us with a smile and sure to outwit.
The view across the lake was so serene.
A view that reminded us of what might have been.
I am off to the land of my great grandmother’s birth.
I hope to place my feet upon that hallowed dirt.
And thank all those ancestors that took the risk and left this land.
So that I could grow free and strong and help others stand.

I have made my way to the county of Donegal. We are by a small lake and the views are like a perfect postcard.
Today, we go to the small village of Creeslaugh where my great grandmother was born to see the house that is still in the decedents from her family.
It will be exciting. And I am looking forward to it.
This hotel is amazing and lovely on all levels.
Yesterday we saw the Giants Causeway and the hexagonal stones were something to behold. We got lots of walking in and had time to stop at a few ruins.
Looking through the graveyards associated with the castles and churches it is interesting to see the long lives and heartiness of the Irish people.
I was shocked to see how many survived into their 70’s-80’s-and 90’s in the early 1800’s and 1900’s. That would have been no small feat.
Wishing everyone great health and happiness. Remember we are all here for just a blink of time in the eye of humanity. Make good use of such moments and learn to explore, enjoy, relish, and wonder.
