Quote
The ivy has begun to change from green to red.
The stones of the castle remember balls, ballads, and times of dread.
The history continues to explore and expand.
I am grateful for all those who worked this Irish land.
I am the great grandchildren of paupers and peasants.
Have come back to rest in the castles and eat pheasants.
It shows that throughout all times.
Our families have tried to shift the stories and paradigms.
I celebrate the ancestors that sought a way out.
I embrace their strengths without a doubt.
Love who you are and where you have been.
Respect those from our past and all their kin.
Life is a celebration that comes one day at a time.
And every life has its own special rhythm and rhyme.
Take the good and embrace the bad.
Love all the things that have made us sad.
Because those things were the doorway to another way.
We learned to turn rejection into a causeway.
Roads can be cut through the marshlands of fear.
Peace and happiness come to all those that persevere.

We are in Drumoland Castle and things seem like a fairy tale. I am in a room where there is a staircase up to the room, a fire escape down a turret to the ground, a shower that is so large it has its own spectator section, a huge suite with everything one could ask for, and grounds that one expects horses and carriages bringing the finest dressed people to the ball.
The bellman was so Irish, we could barely understand a word he said, but he was so charming we did not really care.
Yesterday we walked over 25,000 steps, around 9 miles between walking the grounds of the previous hotel and going over by the river, to then walking the Cliffs of Moher.
What spectacular views and vistas.
Again, the weather was atypical for Ireland. Perfectly clear, sunny, cool, a nice breeze, and the ocean was almost like glass.
We are only here at this castle for one day. It is an amazing place, but it will stay in my memory forever.
We are in our last week of travel in Ireland, and it has been more beautiful than anything I could have imagined.
The food has been consistently amazing, and I am glad I planned this with so much walking and exercise because I seem to be staying at the same size regardless of the two English Tea’s we have had each afternoon.
Though I did save myself by giving our lovely driver, Sharon all the leftover scones, sweets, and goodies from the tea. She is a great excuse for me to stop eating.
We are continuing to head south in the direction of Skibbereen in the southwest corner of Ireland.
Loving every moment. Hoping everyone is safe from the intense weather in the US.
Thank you for listening and following along in my journey to Ireland.
