Poem – Point Shoes

Point shoes are the tools of the ballet trade.

They are the dream of a dancer and the way the game is played.

Dance is an art that overcomes hardship and pain.

One learns to ignore suffering … so grace is gained.

Those pink shoes are the apple of every girls’ eyes.

She dreams of flying in the soaring tutu filled … pink skies.

They are the reflection of so much sweat and tears.

They are the best friend of a dancer for many years.
