Quote/Poem – The Deluge
The rain began falling last night.
The winds were strong and the thunder a fright.
One loud clap before the rain began.
I planned all day to be a cave man.
The wood for the fire is inside and dry.
The outdoor cats are in the barn nearby.
The roar of the rain with the wind mixed in.
Wants to peel away what has been.
We move towards a New Year, and it is time to let go.
Release the old as the wind continues to blow.
Clear the air of the past mistakes.
Let go of the heartaches and the headaches.
It is time to open to what is right in front of us now.
So much can be changed if we just allow.
Let life show the path through the twisted forest.
Let go of the hurts that seem the sorest.
Open to what awaits on the other side of fear.
Don’t worry about finding the door, as it is very near.
