Poem – Petrus Bosman

There are teachers and then there are those whose mastery surpasses teaching.
They have a skill that moves into something beyond instructing, beyond inspiring, because they are a person who can calmly and gracefully show us our own potential.
Petrus was a person who was “bigger than life” but he gift was that he was a mirror of how to remain open to the wonders that exist in the everyday steps and repetitive patterns in a ballet class.
He showed that we danced … not to be perfect but to know that each moment already was.
Perfection came from the willingness to try another way, move into something with a fresh insight and to embrace dance for the sheer joy of it all.
