Suzanne’s Blog for 7/5/2023

I have much to do regarding editing and organizing my book about the Ballet World. My trip to France made that crystal clear.
My editor laughs at me because I just can’t seem to stop doing pirouettes with words as I write. Once I start spinning, I just keep spinning. It is my interpretation of where the phrase, “Spin a yarn” came from. I know it actually comes from spinning wool. But I like my version better. LOL!
While there is a lot of work ahead of me, I am grateful that the creative process for me is so simple.
I am going to attempt to get back into the editing game over the next few days, and it is very time consuming. I will see how it all plays out.
After coming back from France, I have been very busy with work, and that is a great thing for the wallet with not working for 12 days.
My husband and I are going to stay by the ocean in a house in Westport for my birthday for 3 days. I am looking forward to that experience to have nothing to do but write and to have no distractions.
While our personal property and house is wonderful, it is a constant work in progress. We have been doing projects constantly since the beginning of Covid and it just never seems to end. I am grateful for a husband that loves to fix things and as he is semi-retired, he has had more time to devote to upgrading all our solar, and adding panels. Which first required us to redo the roof and put in the pucks for the solar under the new shingles. In the process we found the place where the roof was leaking into office in an area around one of the windows. The problem was of course in another place, but we had to follow the water to get to the exact place.
I look forward to a big rainstorm to see if this leak is finally fixed. I am crossing my fingers.
Wishing everyone a great week.
