With today being a number 10 day, we are reminded that inside our core is an enormous amount of untouched potential and personal power. Some parts of our power will not come out until it knows that we have the ability to do no harm with it. Often the universe holds us back until our conscience has more clarity and can see through the chaos and into what really matters.
While there are those that grasp at power just for the sake of saying they have it. What matters in the end is knowing that when we do things for others it builds up good energy for our soul and that allows others to connect with us in constructive ways.
In life, the best way to build power is slowly. With each additional level shift, we are asked to be more and more responsible and accountable for our actions. I have seen those that because of genetic inheritances that are instantly in positions of influence, but they never built the steps themselves. They end up expressing power that has terrible distortions because they have not learned critical lessons along the way. While everyone wants power instantly, I have learned that if I am honest, I could not handle certain types of power as I did not have the coping strategies that would be needed to sustain myself and that level of energy.
Today, notice if you do not believe you have what you want in the area of power and influence. If you don’t, next look to where you are not quite ready to handle that level of energy and figure out where you might be lacking and then move towards gaining those skills and coping strategies. Because when power is offered and taken when we are not ready, it can collapse us quickly with the burdens of responsibility that such things require.
Learn to gain skill slowly and with grace and humility. Those people that we admire the most are those that use power from a place of clarity and responsibility. To be one of them, we have to embrace those small steps along the way.
