2 + 2 = 4

The number 4 wants to feel a sense of peace and that balance is coming back into place. We live in a topsy-turvy world and there are moments when we would just prefer that somehow, we could find that calm center where we remember who we are and what we came to do.

The number 4 calls to us from that place of balance inside. We honor others when we can maintain neutrality in the face of their upsets and conflicts.

It is a trick to figure out how to be neutral but not complacent and actually just empower the status quo.

Avoidance is not neutrality.

Hesitating and promoting delays are also not true neutrality.

When we are neutral in our core, naturally, making the right decision is easy and a peaceful process because the choice is simple. Do not do what betrays what is right or what diminishes others.

When we refuse to participate, we are not being neutral, we are afraid of those in power.

True neutrality is completely aware of the duality because it holds hope and hopelessness in each hand. Neutrality that is effective … is awake and aware of the circumstances. Then it does what is right … over what is easy.

Today we are to notice where we allow circumstances to throw us off our center. And we are to cultivate what will allow us to be neutral but not complacent.

Change is hard but we have to learn to confront from a place of center rather than from a place of reaction and fear.
