The number 8 reminds us that we are one with spirit and we are one with this earth. If you think about it, we are that figure 8, reaching up to touch the stars and falling into the passions of this earthly existence. That connection … is us. That connection between the two realities is love. That connection naturally runs through our heart. We love God, the Divine, Spirit, creative expression, and the essence of who we are as a spiritual being. But we also love passion, life, sexuality, manifestation, compassion, family, and creating things in this world. We are that connection between heaven and earth. What a glorious thing to be alive!

While the physical realm is filled with the traps of attachment that can pull us away from moving in this world connected to our higher and spiritual selves, the game is to have them work together. Because together they are much more effective and have a greater impact.

Physical power without conscience is dangerous and arrogant. Money just to have control over others is greedy and selfish. Passion without spiritual inspiration is needy and demanding.

Today, seek that balance inside that allows you to have power but a power that inspires and uplifts others. Seek financial security to do something that will help this earth and all the lifeforms in it. And be your wildly passionate self but one that has concern for the well-being of others and that wants to create more goodness and caring in this world.

Then we will have an amazing world to play in and explore the real depths that are possible if we remember to take the highest road rather than the lowest.
