This is a Number of Positive Mind. The Number 3 day is a great day for all that Black Friday shopping. There is excitement in the air and there is a feeling that everyone is dancing with a dynamic hustle.

It is the simple pleasures that give us the most powerful positive memories. It is often the small things that leave a lasting imprint. The taste of your great grandmother’s favorite holiday dish. The beautiful china and dishes passed down for generations. The sounds of laughter as family comes together. The excited squeals of children running through the house as they manage to steal warm cookies cooling on the racks.

In ancient times when foods were scarce and life was harder. It was the coming together with family where everyone worked together that allows us to find joy and fulfilment. It was in the sharing and caring that we had the most comfort.

We live in a world where commercialism and “stuff” has taken over the holidays. We long for a time when “being with” others really mattered. Seems the more interconnected we become the more alone many feel. We long for that feeling of real connection and authenticity. Even when it is messy (as all families are).

Today, appreciate the dramas in your own family and smile. Know that it is those intense moments that make it real and that in the end we will remember.
