Poem – Do Not Turn What Is Good Into Dismay

There are days that I want to roar.
At all those that perpetuate chaos and war.
Why can’t we learn to be together in peace?
Why can’t those in power, make other monsters cease?

In my life, I have been lost and found.
In my life, I have learned to turn around.
It is a power to learn to embrace the truth of a mistake.
That is how we learn to step back and take a break.

It is even better to know when to turn around
Because that is when old truths can be rebound.
Good people cannot carry lies very far.
Not if we want to become an eternal star.

One that shines bright in the endless night sky.
One that is a gift to those on earth with starry eyes.
Perhaps tomorrow when snakes try to take a bite.
Instead you decide to stay out of sight.

I know that without understanding what lies ahead.
Many will make mistakes and some will end up dead.
I prefer instead, to let my ego die away.
That is how I do not turn what is good into dismay.
