Poem – Home is Calling

Remember me for the good that I have done.
Because age has a direction that I may not want to run.
But each of us will have to let go of all we hold dear.
For some that brings about so very much fear.

That is why today, I let go … some more.
I remember the past fondly but know the score.
I will have to let go of all this life’s dreams.
Even when my body does not know what that means.

The ancestors are calling each of us home.

And eventually we will listen and let our soul roam.
Back to those places where all is love.
Into the realms of spirit where we will fly like a dove.
