Poem – Let the Women Lead

I watch the women begin to weave the grass so sweet.
An ancient ritual where the good becomes hard to beat.

Women have watched and waited for this time.
It seemed in moments … a wall too high to climb.

But with patience and care we take the gifts from the land.
And with our hearts full and motivating our hands.

We braid the tender shoots to smoke for another day.
To take away the pain, the fear, and dismay.

In the sweet, curling smoke that is ancient and old.
There is a power that teaches us to face forward and be bold.

The power of the feminine is waking … with a rumble.
And the toxic masculine is finally beginning to crumble.

The feminine knows that the path that lies ahead.
Is going to require each woman letting go of fear and dread.

Together we can stand against the raging tides.
That continue to tear people down with the anger that divides.

Within the walls of white towers and columns of stone.
It is time to remember that this world was built from a feminine bone.

We are the force that creates all of life.
And we have had enough of so much pain and strife.

It is finally time to let the women lead.
And perhaps wars will stop, and no more children will bleed.
