Poem – Listen to the Sun and the Stars Calling you Home
Can you feel the electricity as the storm moves in?
Can you smell the rain in the distance filling your soul with something fresh and new?
I live for the storms, and I thrive in the lightening strikes.
I can breathe when the winds howl and the power of nature screams.
I am that voice that forever whispers and is never truly silent.
I am the longing of your heart that begs for risk.
I watch a world that wants to entangle the minds and souls of a magic that can never actually be tamed.
I am what you keep seeking but always seems to be just beyond the grasp of your mind.
That is because I do not live in the world of thoughts.
I exist in the worlds of feelings, sensations, flavors, and color.
I am that thing that haunts your dreams and hunts your nightmares.
I do not live in the fantasies of tomorrow nor do I exist in any past.
Passions do not burn in the fearful.
Art does not flourish in the endless looping’s of chaos.
Life moves and flows all around you calling to your forgetfulness.
But so many have forgotten how to hear because they have lost the patience to really listen.
Addicted to the dramas induced by the mind and ego.
Those souls are lost in the noise and haze of socialization.
And in doing that they lose touch with the compassion that connects all things.
I sit at the edges of that mental fortress they think will make them safe.
But all it has done is imprisoned them and hidden the keys to truth.
Some becomes so consumed that they even forget to look outside to the sun and stars that will forever call them back home.
