Poem – Love With Grace

In this reality great loves come and seem to go.
But life is a circle that pulls us back to what we know.
In the dance of karma, as we are twisted and twirled.
Love is the core of each and every world.

I believe that as we grow old with age.
We become wiser and become that wrinkled sage.
We see the patterns that did not go the way we thought.
But they were essential for experiences that cannot be bought.

I look back on my life and I would not change a thing.
I would take that leap, even though I was hanging by a string.
Because such moments show faith in something divine.
Whether it was some outward dream or something more sublime.

There are moments when where a window opens it does eventually close.
We know it in our hearts and feel it in our twitching nose.
Because while some souls will walk with us for years.
Eventually we have to step on a path that can cause tears.

It is not because we hate or that we want another to hurt.
It is because something else inside wants to reassert.
Life will come and call us to step outside.
Life calls to us to not retreat or hide.

That is because before we know it our time here will be gone.
And all that will be left is the memories and our song.
We make music as we move through time and space.
And with the magic of this life may we all end it with grace.
