Poem – The Solar Eclipse

This Solar Eclipse is calling from far away.
Powerful forces are coming into play.
We seek to change, and the incentive is there.
But the pathway leads up a darkened stair.

Who we were, we no longer are.
Who we could become … is calling from afar.
It is time to let go of the past that held us so tight.
And finally slip into something that feels more right.

We have grown in ways that we did not notice till now.
And with this eclipse we are going to find out how.
We are now ready to stop resisting who we really are.
And reach beyond our fear … to touch that distant star.

We have wondered where we belonged and where was home.
But now it is time to reach beyond the known.
So many seem to be dying in various ways.
Egos die to set new forces in play.

Embrace what comes as the sky darkens in a few days.
Allow the shadows to smooth out all the frays.
We have felt tattered and torn and frayed by this life.
We have been living with too much internal stress and strife.

This eclipse will free us from what once was our home.
So, we can reclaim what was always to be our very own.
Listen to the darkness as its voice is strong and bright.
It is time to remember that in the darkness there is light.
