Poem – Change

 

Change is the chaos that tilts the table and things fly off the edge.

A mess ensues and that forces us to make a new pledge.
Change likes to break those things we hold so dear.

It reminds us that all attachment, is a form of fear.
But when most things crash … to the ground.

What is lost, can allow something inside, to be found.

We reconnect to what matters the most.

And we learn that perhaps we might have missed a signpost.

As the upset cascades through the controls of the mind.

Often, we can discover what we had left behind.

Sometimes in life we must look into our past.

And retrieve the skills that made us an outcast.

The willingness to break out of the projections of others.

Allow us to see how many things, over time smother.
Let the powers of change into your life.

Let the upset and all the strife.

Show you what you did not know you needed.

And allow new things to become cherished and heeded.
