Poem – Harper

 

Harper is a name that is music to the ears.

She is a light that inspires others and does not cause tears.

She is an instrument that plays a lovely song.

She sees the good in all and will right the wrongs.

Her name was given because angels touched her head.

In a way that moves her through life with joy rather than dread.

In many lives, she danced and sang.

So that now, she has become a beautiful mustang.

Wild and confident, smart and free.

She is here to shine a light on you and me

Curious and kind she cannot help but bring a smile.

Her heart is sincere, and she will go the extra mile.

Seeing her brought me hope in this world.

That constantly tries to twist and curl.

But her light is bright, and it shines direct and true.

Her soul brings depth and a new, unique hue.

I look forward to see what from her may come.

I know she is ready to fly and to really run.
