Poem – Listen to your Heart

When I look ahead, I cannot help but look behind.
We cannot see a future if we continue to be blind.
Life is not about a free ride.
Life asks us to stretch more so we learn how to thrive.

I look at those who have been protected.
But realize that too much of that will make us affected.
Affected by the lies that live in isolation and fear.
Affected by the illusions that others have infected year after year.

We can look ahead and know what is right to do.
We need no other incentive to do what is true.
Care not for the delusions projected by slime.
And listen to your heart that hears the divine.
