Poem – The Wellspring of Mothers
To all the mothers who’ve given endlessly,
And showed you’re worth relentlessly.
In countless ways, you shaped our days,
Guiding us to awe-inspiring pathways.
You held our hands when tears overflowed,
Whispered life’s truths, while you mended and sewed.
You taught us to cherish our physical form,
And showed us that no matter what we can transform.
When we stumbled and faltered, feeling frail,
You taught us that if we just breathe, we would eventually prevail.
Your love and tenderness, a celestial crutch,
Without your heart, we’d have missed so much.
You illuminated, acknowledged, and forever embossed.
You never stopped trying nor saw the great cost.
You provided safety and a loving embrace,
A place we call home, a haven of grace.
Through your care, we’ve learned to aspire,
And through your compassionate heart, we acquire
The strength to shed tears, and to let emotions unfold,
You made it okay for us to not do what we were told.
Today, is your day to remember the love that you gave.
Is within all our hearts, even if it is hidden in a cave.
Know that being a mother is a very special thing.
Because all of life is born from a mother’s wellspring.
