Poem – Without the Loss We Do Not Fully Appreciate the Love

In this world where duality reigns.

The light and the dark create the tensions and the strains.

But it is a path to learn how to grow.

Because we cannot look to find the light if we do not see the shadow.

The light that guides and illuminates the way.

Is filled with great wonders on display.

But in the dark places within our own mind.

We can become too mean, bitter, and unkind.

As we embrace a world that constantly dies.

We uncover all the distortions, failures, and lies.

But when we do, we come fully back home.

And into the balance of this life … we can finally own.
