Poem – While Liars Clap Their Hands With Glee

History will record in this day and age.
Those that fought for life
and those that fought for rage.

I have always said,
“I came to free myself
from suffering and pain.”

So, I refuse to make choices
that only add to the karmic game.

One of the first levels to learn
in the earthly game.
Is to step back from those
that so obviously hold distain.

Each moment you accept
someone’s words on a hateful path.
Will attract great darkness
and eventually wrath.

We live in a time when blind opinions
become huge weights to carry forward.
But karma is decided by your actions
and your sacred word.

I watch in horror as so many
take on karmic burdens
that they cannot even see.
While the powerful liars
and cheats clap their hands with glee.
