Astrology for August 26, 2024

So many things seem to continue on. So many small things seem to be in the limelight and taking attention away from things that really matter to us. With the Sun in meticulous Virgo, the problems seem to have a spotlight on them. We cannot seem to escape what is demanding our attention.

This morning, we seem to be at a crossroads. Perhaps it is because we are in the Last Quarter of the Moon and that the Sun and the Moon are in a square.

What is clear is that we need to make a decision and a choice. The answer we want is not forthcoming and so a completely different approach is necessary. But the road ahead seems about how to make ourselves the priority rather than others.

What is clear is that there are situations that are not working and all the approaches we have tried are also not working. We seem to be leaning into a more radical shift and change. We know it is time. We know we have to do it. But we also know that others will not understand.

Yet, what is currently happening cannot continue either. For some this is a deeply personal issue around family. For others it is a crisis in our conscience.

And it could also be both.

Venus and Uranus trine and we have no choice but to do something very different out of love for ourselves. We have to make a bold choice and one that we know is best for us. There are moments that we need to step away in order to reclaim our own sanity. We want to make everyone happy but that is clearly not going to happen and so we have to shift out of our ideal in how we want things to proceed and instead move in the direction of what we personally need.

The Moon in Gemini keeps looking for solutions to problems that are not our own. This Moon in Gemini can give us the courage to step back and detach from dysfunction. It is time to reclaim who we are and get ourselves back on track. We cannot allow the patterns of others to pull us away from what really matters to us. We need to remember our own beauty … rather than overly focus on the dysfunction of others.
