Astrology for Today 12/29/2022

The Moon in Aries this morning sets the stage for a more direct approach to this day. Such a Moon can make some impatient and irritable. For others, it can support a more enterprising approach to solving a problem.
The Moon outside seems like a dark sliver in the shadows of the clouds of the season. It brings a hard aspect to the Sun in Capricorn and that square can bring out our “need to be right” side.
Not the best profile to show others but awareness can give us an ability to temper that rigidity with determination rather than competition.
Sometimes the energy from the planets seems to bounce off each other and that can help us make tremendous amounts of movement … in a short period of time.

I am using this energy to finish up the writing I need to complete for the Astrology for the Year of 2023, The Astrology for January 2023, the Intuitive Patterns for the Month of January, and the Intuitive Patterns for the Year of 2023.

So far … I am getting a lot done. I am down to the fine editing for all of it. I hope to have it out at the beginning of the year for everyone to enjoy.

Mercury goes retrograde today in Capricorn where it will be trying to muck things up for some of us till the middle of the month. As always, expect delays and snafus. Be methodical in your approach and just do one step at a time.

We may notice a desire to not be around chatty people. Seems we have had our fill for certain ways of expression … as Mercury in Capricorn prefers quiet, solitude, and well-thought-through deliberate conversations.

It can be tricky to align certain trips in January because of this aspect. It may be best to wait till after January 18^th.

There is much to do and that becomes clearer as we have to take a more honest look at our professional life and what our long-term goals need to be now. We look to what we wish our reputation to be going forward.

As we are deep in the months of winter, internal reflection and re-evaluation seems to be at the top of the lists. We are trying to rework certain issues that seem to continue to get in our way.

Use this energy to reconnect to others and do so in meaningful ways that are not pressure situations.
Our level of personal perspective seems more focused and in alignment with our intuition. This is perfect for doing those details that have been trying to get our attention and to finish up.
If you have car or mechanical issues best to address them immediately. Waiting will be much more expensive.
Just a reminder that as we move into January … Mars will also shift out of retrograde followed by Mercury. As we are close to those dates, the pressure will seem stronger and the feelings of change more profound.

Today, we are feeling both the retrograde Mercury and Venus connecting … and that is a type of energy that can really help us understand what we feel and why. Use this energy to generate clarity on complicated matters. Use it for an attitude that desires to be more in balance. Just know that getting to the bottom of an issue may not go as intended. The pressures that each seems to be under is not conducive to extraneous details or pondering complex patterns that we may not be completely aware of or feel the need to address at this moment.
However, pleasant conversations are encouraged and appreciating the efforts of others will bring great relief and a smile to their faces.
Today, see this moment with fresh eyes and a new yet exciting perspective. Step away from aggressive tendencies and allow others their space.

When we are aware of our own needs and wants, we are healthier and happier. We also then have space inside to adapt to the needs and wants of others from a more authentic place.
