Astrology for July 2022
June ended with a powerful New Moon in Cancer. It brings with it more color and energy which we have not seen in a long time. It brings us back to what is important and that sets the tone for July 2022.
As we are in the sign of Cancer most of the month. Family is important and our close and personal friends give us that much needed sense of belonging and safety.
While this month may have a lot of false starts, it will bring energy, vigor, and enthusiasm back in.
Things move relatively smoothly till the 14th, with the Full Moon in Cancer. Seems we cannot escape our choices or commitments. Many things are going to happen and it is going to be up to us on all levels to make sense out of them and choices for our future. There is no sense in whining about it. It’s time to grow up and act in more mature ways. Stand out and stand up for something of value.
July 19th, Chiron, (the wounded-healer-teacher) goes retrograde … and while it will last until December 23rd, it might be good to take a look at your internal mental and emotional states. The healing needed … is on a deeply internal level. No time to waste. Get up and make that phone call. Figure out what you need to do to help balance your psyche and do it with grace and gratitude.
July 21st, Saturn and Jupiter will semi-square. There are big issues that need to be addressed and confrontations will continue as some finally are forced to take a good look at what has been co-created. Many things will require great effort on the part of many who do not want to be dragged into such things but know that as the old is destroyed there will need to be something new … to arise to fill the gaps. Expect to see major events that show frustration and tremendous resentment.
On July 28th there is a New Moon in Leo, and a playful atmosphere will hopefully bring with it some much needed humor and joy.
But Jupiter will also go retrograde and that will make certain things continue to be blocked in ways that can make some move into a crisis. Many things are going to be reassessed over the next 4 months. Many more surprises are coming, and we might as well brace for them.
On the 31st of July, The North Node and Uranus will give us a bit of encouragement to step fully away from the old safety nets and allow for a powerful pivot of priorities to manifest new connections and important insights.
This month, many of our old, standard, safety nets are gone. We cannot depend on others to protect us and so much more responsibility will fall on our shoulders.
In truth … that is probably where it should be. But the previous values within our society are being reshaped and refined into a new perspective where we must look at all our actions and realize that they hold much more dire consequences than ever before. Youthful exuberance is no excuse for attitudes and behaviors with long-term consequences. Be aware that leaps into the unknown without looking will end up costing in the future.
