Numerology/Astrology for 11/20/17

11/20/17 is the number 5. This number is associated with mercy. How can we have mercy for those suffering? How can we show compassion for those who have been marginalized and put down in the face of those more powerful? Why do we choose to believe the perpetrators over those that have been harmed? Why do we tend to justify our choices and positions instead of keeping an open and objective mind? When you make a quick decision, it is possible that that decision is not intuition but your mind and ego quickly evaluating the information based on the slants of your past experiences. Intuition does not sound like things that are familiar and from your past. That is always your mind. Intuition does not need to be justified and defended because you are always calm and clear about your choice and clear choices based on truth always protect and defend those helpless and in need of protection. Justification is always associated with attempting to protect those with questionable character.
The Moon spends another full day in the sign of Sagittarius, so once again it is time to try something new, move beyond your usual bounds, and seek out truth and meaning. In this moment, take a philosophical attitude to problems or challenges that seem to be overwhelming your reality. A change of scenery is in order today, and new experiences and adventures satisfy an emotional need. You are not interested in the details just now. Instead, you focus on the big picture. The Moon harmonizes with Uranus and aligns with Saturn, stimulating your need for change, progress, and improvement, but keeping you grounded. Venus and Pluto are moving towards a sextile, exact tomorrow, and take the time to appreciate the depth happening in your interactions.

Quote

I believe that justice and mercy are simply one and the same thing;
without justice to the full there can be no mercy,
and without mercy to the full there can be no justice.

In order to have justice you must value truth, which at the moment seems to be somewhat lacking in certain areas. You cannot have real mercy if you do not have the total and complete truth and the acceptance of that truth in a humble and revealing manner. So many use the tactic to be the loudest and most aggressive person in defending themselves or others that are under scrutiny rather than to assertively go to discover the truth and to show the value of the truth. In life, everyone makes mistakes. But learning comes from addressing the mistakes and admitting the truth. In our society, there are too many that have told themselves a story (that is not true) and they are so good at being actors that they believe the made up story that justifies and makes them look good. Such people should not be allowed to hold positions of power. They are actually psychopathic liars. There need to be huge consequences for such people that prey on the public in such deceptive and harmful ways. Only by harshly bringing the value of truth and justice back to the center can civilization and governments survive.
