Numerology/Astrology for 12/19/16

12/19/16 is the number 4. Balance is achieved by stepping out of old patterns of perception and opening to new levels of reality. Just because you don’t like the reality does not mean that you are not going to have to deal with that reality. Acceptance is the only way to find balance. Fighting against what is, is often a useless waste of energy. This is a moment when humanity is learning how hard it will be to come to the middle when so much anger and venom was infected and infused in our reality. Healing is possible but only with time and tremendous individual effort. Do you have the guts to begin the healing process in yourself? Are you willing to do the hard, grinding, long, and in-depth work that is going to be required to go forward? Mars enters Pisces this morning, where it will transit until January 28th. You will feel less motivated to pursue traditional goals and more driven by spiritual or emotional goals during this cycle. Your energy is up and down or variable, and so is your output at work or in the world. Going after what you want becomes less straightforward and more complicated! You tend to avoid confrontation, and you take an intuitive approach to pursuing your future dreams. You may put others’ needs ahead of your own, and your more idealistic side returns and comes to the fore. Mercury turns retrograde this morning and will be retrograde until January 8th, mostly in the sign of Capricorn, although it will retreat into Sagittarius on January 4th. While Mercury is retrograde in Capricorn, you may have little tolerance for small talk, and you may tend to express yourself only after much deliberation. Expect plansto be considered then reconsidered. You are in a good position to reevaluate your professional or life path plans and goals. You can feel a big change has happened and now you have to figure out what is your next step. You might want to explore what directions you need to go into or where you see your reputation going on a deeper and more long term level. The past is clearly over and so now it is a new world and looking at your reality with old eyes will only create frustration and discontent. You are going to have to find a new way to see progress in your life and the external world is not co-operating at the moment so only internal shifts will give you a feeling of progress. Remember, peace is in internal experience not an external circumstance. During the retrograde cycle, thinking is turned inward as you review and re-assess matters. This period is best used for re-organizing and reflecting what you are attempting to do or move towards in your life. You look at the world a little differently–through different filters–and can come up with some very important inner revelations. Most of those are particularly harsh in this brash light of this new future. But regardless we are going to have to deal with it. Hiding is not a strategy that will get you anything you are wanting to go for. It may still be difficult to communicate with others under this influence, just know that not everything cam be understood at this point. You are still breaking out of old patterns of perception so you cannot perceive what is still emerging and awakening. Give yourself time. Mercury retrograde periods can be times of heightened inner awareness, when meditation, benefiting from keeping a journal, reworking old plans, and reviewing past work are favored. Minor breaks in the mechanical aspects of communication can re-connect you to others. Hopefully this will create more meaningful conversations and a deeper way of communicating. Today as Mercury stations, there can be cloudy thinking and misunderstandings. This morning’s Mercury-Mars semi-square can add hectic and impatient energy to the mix. However, it can also stimulate you to get a move on or to stop procrastinating on a matter. The Moon is in Virgo all day.

Regardless of where you sit on the spectrum of the new reality, you cannot miss the fact that a huge book has finished in all of our lives. It is like we have fought the battle in the last chapter in the Harry Potter series but rather than having Harry win over Voldemort, in our story we have lost and our magical world has been taken over by the darkness and Harry and his friends have been killed. After such a long struggle, so many of us are shocked out of our “happy ending” reality and we feel as if our personal hero inside is dead and lost forever. It feels that regardless of what we dream of or want, magic has been turned into the most negative expression and we don’t know how long it will take to have another hero rise from the ashes of this conflict to inspire us to rise again.
