Numerology/Astrology for 12/5/20

12/5/20 is the number = 12. 1 + 2 = 3.

For some, life may feel like a carnival ride that has somehow gotten out of control. You want off the ride but you end up hanging on for dear life.
For others, it may feel like a hustle and a tussle. Life is spinning crazily out of control. Everyone can feel it. While you go through the motions of “normal”, nothing feels normal deep down inside. But in life the choice is always to keep on …. Keeping on. And doing what you can to remain calm and to do things from the place of good common sense and kindness.

Remember, the best accessory you can put on each morning is a smile.

Astrology Today

The Moon is in Leo, intends for us to open our heart and connect with others in ways that really make a difference. Take pride in our ability to care for those needing the greatest help and make sure all our our actions reflect the values that we truly feel.
The Sun semi-squares Saturn, which can make those serious choices and decisions seem more critical than ever.
Our choices take on a more serious tone. It is essential that we shift out of a “Me” identity towards a society that protects those most in need. It is up to us. Where we are at in the world is our responsibility.
But Venus and Neptune trining gives us a much needed opportunity to play a bit, laugh, and give us inspiration to keep going.
I know it is hard to trust but we need to take the “hate” sunglasses off and decide to see the goodness in humanity over the horror. Even if it is just for a moment.
You may look at the past and romanticize the reality. You may look to the future and also fantasize about a possibility that right now does not exist.

Venus and Mars quincunx early in the morning. Expect that feeling of dis-ease to be felt today. It is hard to feel everything that is bubbling up. We want to feel better than we feel. But we have to learn to be honest with our personal process. And do lots of self-care. It is going to be a long winter.

As we seem to come into a holiday season filled with Coronavirus intensity, I hope that calm minds and passionate hearts open in compassion to those that are suffering the most.

We all have to learn restraint in life and I believe that each of us in our own way are learning how to stop and be with our deepest selves. And that is a good thing.

We have been a society all about instant gratification for a long time and now we are learning a very different lesson.

Notice how much busyness has been avoidance of what we have not wanted to feel.

Notice how much distraction has been the agenda of ego to keep us in overwhelm so we do not have to feel what was hidden in the dark corners of our psyche.
In all great spiritual teachings, a soul must be in stillness and silence for 40 days and 40 nights in order to confront the internal darkness within. Some teachings have monks be in silence for 3 years, 3 months, 3 days, 3 hours, 3 minutes and 3 seconds.
In speaking to one of my monk friends, he said what he learned was the temporary-ness of life. He said, “If you are in silence and not bathing for such long periods of time, you learn that the body is slowing rotting underneath you. While body is a miracle on so many levels it is not going to survive forever and you have to see all of life as a temporary experience. That makes you recognize that kings will also rot away, Priests will also rot away. So we, will also rot away.”

From such a position, the dramas of life disperse in importance and we see that what is right here, right now, is all that is guaranteed. Therefore, we have to do what we can in every moment to contribute from an open and honest heart.

The past means nothing expect to show us the lessons needing to be embraced. The future is not guaranteed. And this moment becomes everything.

Embrace the emptiness within. Embrace the now. And embrace the journey of your soul in this particular incarnation.
