1/4/18 is the number 7. This number is associated with commitment and the Chariot card in Tarot. Often in life it is not the most talented that succeed but those with talent and a lot of determination. Talent in life is never enough. You are each gifted in many unique and different ways but it is those to take that talent and allow it to inspire them into greatness that succeed. Practice and repetition helps the mind learn discipline. Discipline helps the soul find the way out of the quagmire of karma and unwind its way out of the body into the magic of life. Do you know your talents and abilities? Are you doing something with them? Be persistent in pursuing pleasure and joy in your life. Do now what you intend to do when you retire. Keep the artistic side of you burning in all the small and subtle ways that you can. The quest for knowledge is a good pursuit but that quest can also include knowing yourself, leaning into edges, exploring places where you wish to go. I know for myself that now at this age I like to think of my life as preparation for the next one. What would I like to do as a career in the next life? Perhaps I should begin to practice now and explore some possibilities. Become an inventive person. Learn in ways that create peace and open your heart. Learn that you have gifts to give not just others but yourself also. Don’t hold back. Go on that amazing adventure. Discover the places you have lived before and have left your energy echoes there so you could come back and remember. Set no limits on the possibilities. And remember to enjoy the structure that the full creative process requires.
The Moon is in Leo all day, forming squares with Mars and Jupiter this morning. Mars and Jupiter are heading towards an alignment that will be exact on the 6th. You might be feeling the excitement building. Enjoy yourself, let go, lean into the unknown, and discover where you have not fully embraced life. As the day advances, you will discover that there are many satisfying mental outlets that can help you enjoy new thinking and fresh perspectives on matters. And Yes, there is still tension resulting from conflicts between desires for independence and needs for nurturing. But this may be a lifetime of self-discovery to find that balance within. You may feel tied down due to family obligations or your own requirements for comfort and safety. I know that you do not feel quite confident about pursuing what you really desire. Don’t get discourages as your efforts to push forward seem to be met with resistance. Circumstances will always block your efforts to assert yourself in a new way. That is just the rules of manifesting in the physical plane. It is not personal. Patience is necessary while you move out of the darkness into the light.

When you are ruled by fear of the future and you cannot see where you are going, there are usually two responses. One is that you gather your courage and leap into the unknown with the fresh excitement and enthusiasm of a young person or you retreat into the familiar and the known, choosing to live in the past, repeating the same pattern over and over again. In this world, we are at a crossroads. The doorway to the past is closing and disappearing …quickly. Those that wish to be in the past have a choice. But that choice is one of stagnation, fear, and some sort of death (whether metaphorical or literal). We are at a point where it is finally impossible to go back. Technology is taking us on a ride into the glorious unknown, where the willing and able rise up to the top of the pile and grab this new and exciting life with relish and enthusiasm. The genie is very much out of the box and that genie is not going back….ever. So, no type of fear, manipulation, threats, etc. are going to convince that genie to go back into that lonely place. You are going to have to move, whether you like it or not, whether you want to ignore what is happening or not, whether you agree with it or not. Because it is not up to you and your small mind. A universal change is happening because it is time and the Divine is in charge of this moment. Your choice is to surrender and to allow that sense of wonder and freedom to allow bliss to overtake your psyche and give you the ride and thrill of your life or not. You can try to close your eyes and look away, pretending that it is not happening, or you can take that risk and choose to absorb as much of this energy as it is happening and become a fully integrated part of this dynamic shift in consciousness.
