Mercury turns retrograde today and the timing could not be more interesting as we move closer to the solstice on June 20th. You should be feeling those energies building up and demanding real and unequivocal shifts.

From this point forward it is going to be all about your communication in your home and family. If that was not so terribly obvious by now, humanities priorities have been so screwed up, for so long that a massive and major correction has been in the works. The focus has really shifted away from this identification with work, to a recognition that we have to be integrated and reconnected to this world. Home and family has been a necessary focus for the past many months. After the shock of that radical shift, you might finally be getting the hang of it. You might be realizing that in struggling to make your work the center of your happiness, now … you see that not only will it never make you fully happy but you see that it is a means to an end, not the end in of itself. But your family is that goal and it has needed and deserved your love and attention more. Once you let your ego go, you see that the greatest fulfillment in this life could come from deepening your connections to others.

As Mercury turns retrograde in Cancer, it will conjunct the Star Sirius. While this star is associated with the goddess Isis, just remember that her job was to burn the dead bodies to release the soul. Much like the Aleister Crowley Thoth Tarot Deck card, Death. Clearly, much is dying away. And there is a force of divine energy that is burning away the old, dying, and decaying bodies and freeing the spirits that are now inspiring us to make the monumental changes that are required.

Common sense is attempting to rule the day with this Taurus Moon. Be open to sharing and connecting in real ways. Take care to listen to others. Get used to reflecting and paying more attention to the small things. That will make you happy.
