Numerology/Astrology for 8/14/16

8/14/16 is the number 4. I find that balance (of the number 4) for me is associated with a degree of surrender. Fighting creates polarization and my mind going back and forth in extreme positions. Learning how to not do that is about letting go of knowing, letting go of figuring it all out, and letting go of doing things right. Once I have accepted the facts of what is, I learn that I cannot always get what I want, and I learn that pushing or demanding some outcome from the universe is not going to get me anywhere anyway so I might as well just let things be what they are and experience the beauty and perfection that is somehow in this moment. No, it will not be what I want or expected but it might just give me a key piece if I am willing to be open to the infinite possibilities that this world offers. When I can see my wants and desires as actually limitations to my highest self and learn to let them completely go, something amazing happens. I learn to just be. I learn that being here now and being open to this moment has much to offer that I did not know I needed or wanted. The Moon leaves Sagittarius and enters Capricorn shortly into the day, at 12:13 AM EDT. Venus opposes Neptune today, and if you have been indiscriminate with money, pleasures, and relationships, problems may emerge. Uncertainty in Venus-ruled areas of life (romance, social life, and finances) can be a theme. Neptune places a veil over your eyes, and may seduce you into believing what you want to believe rather than what really is. If you haven’t been discriminating enough in love or with money, problems can surface now for resolution. Romantic and idealistic imagination is aroused now, and you may be especially put off by anything vulgar or harsh. You need to assess areas of our lives that have become dysfunctional, where you might be over-reacting, and where you may need to give up on some unrealistic ideal so that you can make gains that actually will come to pass. You may be more vulnerable emotionally, and thus more susceptible to deceit or self-deceit. If possible, it may be best to delay significant decision-making regarding social and romantic involvements, as well as finances, as you are unlikely to be seeing these things clearly.

Quote
What kind of artist are you? Are you a dark artist like Edgar Allen Poe? Are you an artist of light like Leonardo da Vinci? Notice what you are creating right now in your world. There is value in both sides but the question becomes, “Are you at choice?” When you bring consciousness into everything you do then life becomes more of what you intend rather than what you are unconsciously manifesting out of fear.

How can you become like a dancer moving throughout your day with grace, beauty, poise, and focus? So often we compartmentalize great tools and techniques for a particular moment in time. Watching the Olympics is a great example of this type of focus. I am amazed and shocked at how those men and women can stay on target in such a free-for-all type of exciting energy and how they somehow have learned to tune everything else out except what they are here to do. You see them use tools such as music, going over their routine, sticking to a pattern and sequence of breathing and behavior. But there ability to focus is still amazing to watch. If each of us could learn to hold tight to our own center and the task at hand with the same type of mental discipline and determination the world would be a place of tremendous opportunity. Learning how to control the body with conscious precision is a tool that is learned and earned. You can also do it if you begin by finding something that draws your attention and passion to it. Once you are engrossed in a task and want to do that task to the best of your ability then your life can change in powerful ways. The trick is to learn to translate that ability into every area of your life.
