August 15th is the number 4. And it will be difficult to stay neutral (the number 4) and keep a clear conversation going with Venus in retrograde and conjuncts the Sun. Not only is Venus very close to the earth right now, but that also magnifies the heartbreak and all relationship issues are intensified. Be aware that your words will reflect the wounding your heart feels and today you will not be able to hide how hurt you really are. This is a day of vulnerability where you have to not just tell yourself the truth of the depth of your pain and suffering but you will not be able to hide it from others either. Learning to be authentic has a price and that price is to feel, experience, and become one with the pain you have lived in this life. You cannot be authentic if you are protecting yourself. Most people will live a protected but inauthentic life because of the fear of telling the truth about the pain that they still hold in the heart and the pain they refuse to acknowledge is still there. Venus is often seen as a mirror. Some see that mirror as only a reflection of their beauty but Venus is also a reflection of the parts that have tortured us the most. When you protect yourself you cannot respond with the proper emotional compassionate response. When you protect yourself it is easy to become jaded and to get caught up in the bitterness of your own wound and then to attach to the dark emotions in the world such as hatred and judgment. Today you have a moment to see that you can take off the layers of protection that you have been carrying. When you do you will also see the story you have created around your wounded heart and instead feel into the depth of your innocence and accept the patterns and missteps in your life as part of that journey to become your authentic self. The Moon ends its transit of Leo at 3:47 AM EDT, when it enters Virgo. The Sun and retrograde Venus align today, marking the middle of the Venus retrograde cycle and a new Venus cycle’s beginning. Relationship matters are in strong focus and can feel fated with an emphasis on issues and people from your past. You are motivated by the desire to come to some semblance of balance in your world. You have a desire to impress, charm, smooth over differences. You can be symbolically in the dark when it comes to your feelings or relationships as a new cycle begins. Mercury forms a trine with Pluto today, however, and you want to look for deeper meanings and hidden elements to what’s going on.
