Poem – Celebrating the Month of June 2023

Celebrating the Month of June

In the month of June, when nature blooms,

A tale of wisdom in the air looms,

A Japanese story whispers its concern,

Of leaks in the bucket, that we did not discern.

In our bustling lives, so full and fast,

We carry our burdens, present and past,

Focused on tasks, we fail to see,

The holes in our bucket, leaking so free.

But these tiny leaks, though easily missed,

Carry a secret, and with purpose they persist,

For drops that escape, and fall with grace,

Have value unseen, in their humble embrace.

Through our efforts, as we tread our way,

Those drops can nourish, day after day,

They water the flowers along our path,

Transforming our journey, reshaping our anger and wrath.

In failures and flaws, there lies a hidden chance,

To support beauty’s dance, and grace to enhance,

For even in weakness, we hold the key,

To nurture and cultivate, for others to see.

So let us not mourn our imperfect stride,

But embrace our leaks, with hearts open wide,

For the drops that escape our weary hands,

Can create wonders in nature’s lands.

In the garden of life, where beauty unfolds,

Our failures and struggles, could actually be gold,

We learn to cherish the leaks, no matter how small or true,

And let them sprout miracles, and help us see through.

For in those drops, there lies a power,

To nourish the soil, in every hour,

And as we carry water, we come to find,

That even in failure, beauty will continue to be designed.
